System Icons in Windows 10
- Windows 10 setup
It's time for us to figure out what the system icons in Windows 10 are, as this topic is becoming more and more popular among users who have minimal knowledge of using the tenth generation operating system.
If we talk about the concept of "system icons", then it is necessary to clearly understand that this concept means not simple "Labels", which are created by the user on their own or that appear on the "Desktop" after installing a new software. The "Icons" themselves are directly related to such system sections as: "Explorer", "This computer", "Basket" and so on. Accordingly, they do not perform the function of launching software, but launch the system partitions of your device.
Now, let's try to deal with the basic features of setting “Badges” and “Labels”, since at the initial stage, it is possible to manipulate them together.
In order to give a more aesthetically correct look to the "Labels" and "Icons" on the "Desktop" in terms of size and their location, you need to use the "context menu", which is invoked with a single click of the right mouse button to an empty area of the "Desktop »→ it remains to move the mouse cursor to the“ View ”tab in order to access the following functional settings located in the additional context menu that opens:
- Setting the size of the icons - is done by selecting one of those possible options: “Large icons”, “Normal icons” and “Small icons”.
- Setting the location of icons - is done by selecting one of two items: “Arrange icons automatically” or “Align icons by grid”.
- Setting the visual display of icons is done using the item “Display desktop icons” and allows you to remove everything from the “Desktop” in just a couple of mouse clicks.
All the above features to customize system icons in Windows 10, as you might have guessed, are available to all users without exception and most importantly, they are accessed using the same actions.
But if you want to tweak the OS and add those “system icons” that you don’t have, but you really need them for more comfortable system management, then in this case, you should use a slightly different log action with its own specifics.
One of the most common ways to get to the required section with settings is the ability to navigate the path: Start menu → Parameters section → Personalization subsection → Subjects subsection → go to “Related options” → you just have to make a selection. Desktop icons settings → using the mouse, select the Windows 10 system icons you need → use the Apply button to save the changes made to the operating system settings → close the window using the “ OK".
Also, you can try to use the application “Search” in which one of the queries is written: “Themes” or “Related Parameters” → the above procedure is performed.
The work done can be seen immediately, as all additionally marked icons will be displayed on the “Desktop” and you can immediately use them.
Special attention is given to those devices whose users periodically use the “Tablet mode”. For data, the device may not correctly display the "system icons", which means that you need to try to fix the problem by turning off Tablet mode and then turning on Tablet mode. It is possible that these manipulations can help.
If, for some reason, you still have a problem with the display of "system icons" in "Tablet mode", then in this case, it is best to use the "Explorer", which allows you to run any system partition / software, in a couple of seconds.
It seems to us that we were able to tell you in sufficient detail and as simply as possible about what has just recently seemed to be incomprehensible and incredibly confusing to most users.
