Out of memory to install Windows 10 update
- Windows 10 setup
Updating the Windows 10 operating system is not just ordinary user actions, but something more, since much more depends on this process than many of the PC users can even imagine. The essence of updates, most often comes down to improving not only the visual component of the OS, but also the functional one. Thus, the update process can be compared with the process of laying bricks by a bricklayer, where each individual brick, in the aggregate, forms a monolithic wall. That's just, the process of updating the OS does not always go smoothly, because relatively recently, most users were faced with the fact that the system notified them that: "Not enough memory to install the Windows 10 update". As a result, those who had devices with the installed “ten” on the hard drives and did not have the opportunity to free up some more free space on the used HDDs had real “dances with a tambourine” during which they had to go through “seven circles of hell”. But all this was earlier, now, Microsoft has solved this problem and are ready to offer the user community completely new Win 10 software features.
At the moment, the developer of the operating system is ready to offer users two different options, each of which is radically different from the other:
- It is possible to use the internal resources of the system, which will free up free disk space by cleaning the hard drive from unnecessary files. For this action, you will have to: using "Options" → go to the "Windows Update" system section → use the system offer, which reads as follows - "Now we will help you free..." → choose one of the proposed options for cleaning system areas : “Trash”, “Downloads” or “Using storage” → wait until the cleaning process is completed → you can try installing the update.
- It is possible to use both the device’s optionally built-in or “partitioned” hard drives, and external media connected to the device, which may include: SD-cards, USB-drives, HDD-carriers and much more. For this action, you will have to: using “Options” → go to the section of the “Windows Update” system → use the offer of the system that sounds like this - “External storage device” → select one of the connected external media → click on “Next”.
As practice shows, if you previously had a problem - there is not enough memory to install the Windows 10 update, then after you perform one of the above actions, there will not be such a problem, since it will disappear once and for all.
In addition, if a situation arises in the future that will be related to the impossibility of installing the next major system update, you can always use the methods described above to configure the system and additional installation of the update was successful.
